I am currently working as a post doctoral researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, as part of the Legacies project.
My research focuses of the implications of prior statehood for modern levels of violence and conflict. This falls within the broader peace and conflict research tradition, which seeks to explain the causes and consequences of conflict. My research is quantitative and empirical in nature, and seeks to draw generalizable conclusions.
Outside work, I am a bit of a foodie, who is passionate about listening to music. When I am not busy being a father of two, I also enjoy socializing with freinds, old and new, over a (few) beers/wine/whiskey.
